There are three phases of any recreational programming based business that Leaf brings into focus: Facilities, Data Center/Financial Reporting, and Programming. A racquet sports and facilities leader works within these phases to create communication and operational logistics that is measurable and sustainable to allow stakeholders themselves and institutions to grow.
The nature and quality of the facility determines the very nature of the business itself. Starting with a deep understanding of the inventory available and the sustainability of the best practices in maintenance, housekeeping, capital planning, decor, and even above all safety, is foundational for all other areas of the institution's success. From daily attention to cleanliness and bidding out annual projects to budgeting and planning for major future projects a leader must focus on this as a foundation for success.
This is sometimes an overlooked or under-served area of most organizations. Being a data driven decision maker, Leaf starts with operations and logistics surrounding an institution's ability to track date in order to prevent loss, drive growth, and scale efficiently. Having complete and accurate data allows for a clear eyed view of the present, but more importantly allows for good foundational thinking when forming a vision for the future.
This is the area of Human Activities: Swim Lessons, Tennis Leagues, Vendors, Life Guards, Etc. This is a fast emerging area as Stakeholder's are continuing to want an increased ROI on all activities. The quality of Programming is what drives the human transaction/activities that produce revenue. Sales, communication training, high service levels, presence of leadership, definition of roles, freedom, fun, and pride of place are at the center of my teams and our culture.
